Day One — Aug. 3, 2020

Day of Arrival

Begin the journey by meeting the IVW Coach / Passenger Van at Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome between 10:00 & 11:00 in the morning. Snacks are provided on the drive into The Village, where we’ll eat lunch upon arrival.

Take time to settle into the accommodations and freshen up before meeting for the welcome reception & orientation.

Next, take a few hours to relax; walk in the gardens, dip in the pool, take a nap, put your socks into drawers, etc.

When chill time is over, a local multi~course dinner with local wine is served by The Castle Chef {also local}. Get to know the others in the group very well as pasta hangs off their wine-stained lips mid~conversation.

Saunter up to bed for a solid night’s rest.

Day Two — Aug. 4

Bolsena Boat Ride

Beginning with breakfast at The Castle, the day sets off with a private boat ride on Lake Bolsena.

Bring a swimsuit and an appetite; after time in the water we’ll head to a lakeside trattoria for a lunch of fish, caught fresh from the lake.

When bellies are full, we’ll head back to The Castle for some R&R.

As the day cools off, we’ll stroll among trees in a local organic olive orchard. Take the opportunity to speak to the owners about their process before tasting their various oils.

Head back to The Castle to freshen up.

Come evening, a local chef will guide us through making and eating an authentically Italian home~cooked meal.

An early night prepares us for an early morning on Day Three.
